# Get webhook signing secrets

Returns the channel's signing secrets: always a `current` secret, plus a
`previous` secret during the 24-hour rotation overlap window.
Only valid for channels with `kind=webhook`; otherwise returns 400.

Endpoint: GET /channels/{channel_id}/webhook-secrets
Version: 2.0.0
Security: Auth

## Security:

  - `Auth` (unknown)
apiKey in header X-Api-Key scopes: api:channel:read

## Path parameters:

  - `channel_id` (string, required)
Unique identifier (UUID) of the channel.

## Response 200:

  - `200` (unknown)
Webhook signing secrets for the channel.

## Response 200 fields (application/json):

  - `item` (object, required)
The signing secrets a webhook channel holds, in masked form.

  - `item.current` (object, required)
A webhook signing secret in masked form. The plaintext value is only
returned at issuance (channel creation or rotation); subsequent reads
expose just the mask.

  - `item.current.mask` (string, required)
Masked form of a webhook signing secret: the `vilna_whsec_` prefix, four obfuscation
bullets, and the last 4 characters of the random body. Use the mask to identify the stored
secret without displaying its plaintext.
    Example: vilna_whsec_••••2gW9

  - `item.current.created_at` (string, required)
Timestamp when the resource was created.
    Example: 2024-01-15T10:30:00Z

  - `item.current.expires_at` (string)
Point in time in RFC 3339 format.
    Example: 2024-01-15T10:30:00Z
